1/4/18...Well we ended 2017 with freezing drizzle and had to cancel services for the last day of the year. Looking forward to what God is going to do this year through ABC. Our theme this year 2018: A time to Choose. Based on the Scripture found in Joshua 24:15"...choose you this day whom you will serve...". It's time we Christans choose to serve God and to be very courageous as we do it. Also time to march forward and not to turn to the right or to the left but stay on the narrow road for Jesus. And remember whatsoever you do in word or deed do ALL to the Glory of God. If it's not glorifying God...DON'T do it.
1/6/18...Tomorrow will be the first Sunday of 2018. I wonder will you CHOOSE to go worship the Lord at your house of worship? I wonder how many cars will be in the parking lot of the golf course I drive by on my way to church? How many shopping at Walmart or the Malls? How many will CHOOSE to just stay home, after all they need their rest because the new week is about to begin. If you are a member of ABC I will be looking for you at the church doors tomorrow morning. If you're reading this and don't have a church home we invite you to come join us for Sunday school at 9:45 and morning worship at 10:45. Make up your mind and CHOOSE to put God first in 2018 and to serve Him.
Sunday was a good day. Several folk at the altar during the invitation. One of our dear ladies volunteering to teach in our College and Career class. She and her husband had planned to teach this class before he took ill and passed away. She now wants to carry on what called them to do. We had 15 people out this week with the flu. Praying they all will be well for this next week. Looking forward to Wednesday night service as we continue to make the right choices in 2018. I hope you will be in the Lords house tonight. Hebrews 10:25 KJV Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
It is hard to believe we are already at the end of January in this new year. It seems like time goes by faster every day. God has blessed Ambassador the last two weeks in a mighty way. Two weeks ago on Sunday afternoon a large grass fire started across the street from the church. It consumed 80 acres and took 30 fire trucks to get it under control. God kept the winds blowing away from the church. Then this week a power line snapped and the sparks caused a huge grass fire that concumed a 1000 acres. The church area was in a mandatory evacuation area. The fire came within two miles of the church and even closer to some of the members homes. Praise the Lord there were no homes lost and no injuries reported and the church again was safe because of the direction of the wind. We serve an awesome almighty all Poweful God. If you read this and happen to be in the area we would love to have you come join us this Sunday at 9:45 for Sunday School or 10:45 for morning worship.
Well there are only 11 months left until 2019. How were your choices in January? Did you blow it in some areas? Well today is a new day and a new month. Forget the things which are now behind you and push forward to what lies ahead.
On Sunday evening February 11 at 5:00 we will be having Attorney David Bibbs III, president and chief legal counsel for the National Center for Life and Liberty speaking in the service. He will be sharing the most important and pressing legal issues facing the church today. If you are in the area and do not have a Sunday evening service we invite you to come join us. It is totally free we will receive a love offering at the end of the service.
